“We worked with Gary and the RENERGY Solar team on two large, complex off-grid solar and microgrid projects in the Hill Country, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. Gary’s knowledge of solar, batteries, and system design goes far beyond sales. He explained every detail clearly, guided smart equipment choices, and planned ahead with spare components for long-term reliability. His expertise gave us complete confidence in the systems. The installation team’s craftsmanship was outstanding. Every conduit run was perfectly bent and aligned, equipment was mounted with precision, and the finished systems look intentional and professional—like they were always part of the property. Even highly technical details were handled with care and accuracy. The crew kept the site immaculately clean and organized throughout construction, which impressed everyone on the ranch, including the maintenance staff and the master plumber who oversees property systems. Communication was equally impressive. Gary and his team kept everyone informed about schedules, deliveries, and any changes, always responding quickly and thoroughly. They even coordinated with our ranch team to minimize impact on daily operations. The result is a pair of microgrids that run primarily on solar with battery storage and generator backup, using the grid only as a last resort. The systems provide real peace of mind—even during extended outages. If you want expert system design, cost-conscious planning, and impeccable, detail-driven installation, we highly recommend Gary and the team at RENERGY Solar.”
“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five Stars – RENERGY Stands Behind Their Work! I purchased my solar panels from Gary at RENERGY back in 2021, and looking back over the past five years, I couldn't be more satisfied with my decision. A few months after my 55 panels were installed, I noticed roof leaks in several places. I contacted Gary, and he immediately arranged for a technician to come out and assess the situation. Once the source of the water intrusion was identified, RENERGY took full ownership of the problem — they coordinated with a roofing professional of my choice to replace the affected roof area, then sent out a new installation crew to properly re-install the panels. They covered every cost associated with the investigation and repairs, no questions asked. That kind of accountability is rare, and it speaks volumes about their integrity. Beyond the customer service, the financial results have been impressive. I was upfront with Gary that I understood it would take roughly 10–12 years to break even, but the savings have been real and significant. Most months, my electric bill runs between $0 and $25. Even during the hottest and coldest months, I'm looking at around $100 — compared to the $600+ bills I used to dread before going solar. If you're considering solar, I'd strongly recommend reaching out to Gary at RENERGY. He took the time to match me with the right system for my home, and when an issue came up, he stood firmly behind their work. That's exactly the kind of company you want handling a long-term investment like this.”
“I highly recommend Renergy Solar. I first started researching solar companies in the area seven years ago and Renergy— specifically Gary— stood out from the competition because of his zero pressure approach, extensive knowledge, and clear commitment to his industry. I believed Renergy would be around for the long haul, and when I was finally ready seven years later to install solar, Gary, Eric, and their team did an outstanding job in record time. I had an idea of how I wanted the system configured, but they came up with a better plan that cost less. And now every morning, I get to enjoy the anticipation of the sun’s rays hitting the panels, generating power, saving money, and offering a hedge against rising electricity prices. And if it rains, well, that’s excellent too.”
“My husband and I had intended for some time to add battery capacity to our existing PV/ESS system. In mid-to-late October 2025, we realized the federal Residential Clean Energy Credit was set to expire 12/31/2025 and we recognized we needed to move quickly. We reached out to Gary at RENERGY on 10/28/2025. Gary responded promptly, gathered some information regarding our system and shared it with his engineer to determine feasibility. On 11/4, he shared that his engineer had determined an additional battery could be added and on 11/7, he presented us with a proposal for the work. At our request, he presented an additional proposal that same day for adding 2 batteries to the system. He performed a site visit on 11/10. He was prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. We signed the purchase agreement with him on 11/11. RENERY's payment schedule is broken into 3 milestones with 20% due at signing, 60% due when materials are ordered, and the final 20% due at project completion. Because of the tight timeline, Gary billed for milestones 1 & 2 up front, so we paid 80% of the amount due when we signed the purchase agreement. We were happy to make the accelerated payment to expedite the process. Along with the purchase agreement, Gary provided a project overview document detailing each step of the installation process including the development of an engineering plan, coordination with the utility company for approvals and inspections, and installation. Our actual experience followed this process precisely, so we always knew exactly which step we were on. After signing the agreement, we also learned that our neighbors and good friends were also using RENERGY and were extraordinarily pleased with Gary’s service. Given the significant investment, it was comforting to know that folks we trusted had a good experience. Our engineering plan was complete on 11/23, and Gary submitted it to the utility company the following day. Gary followed up with the utility 10 days later to confirm receipt and to express our urgency in getting the work completed before year’s end. We received utility company approval on 12/15. Gary contacted me on 1/7/2026 to schedule installation on 1/13. His team arrived on time. They were very professional, kept us clearly informed regarding what to expect in terms of power outages during installation, briefed us after installation, answered our questions, and adjusted system settings to our preferences. The installation was complete that same day. Gary notified the utility of completion and coordinated inspection. His team met the inspectors and the system passed without issue on 1/15. Our experience with RENERGY met our expectations. Gary did everything he committed to do on our project. He and his team were professional and knowledgeable and we would recommend him to others looking to install or upgrade a PV/ESS system.”
“Very pleased with the work performed by Gary and the team at Renergy. The project was completed on time and the installers did an outstanding job. They took the time to make sure the installation was not only functional per the plans but also was pleasing to the eye. Gary worked hard to handle all aspects of the planning and working with the city and utility to meet a deadline and we couldn’t be happier with our system. Highly recommended the team at Renergy if you are considering solar or battery storage options.”
