“A service that you think you would never need. An uncle recently came back into my life and I found him living in an awful environment. Freedom Maids and the absolute Dream Team of Martha and Luis made this massive clean-up job go off without a hitch. They are the nicest and hardest-working people I have ever met. This was a total clean job of a two-story apartment and me moving my uncle to a nearby one-story, one-bedroom apartment. Thank you so much, Martha and Luis. 😇”

“The project was to clean out my mother’s house. For the past 20 years she has lived as a hoarder, it was just easier to let her live as she chose then to fight with her. However, at 86 it had become unsafe to allow her to continue to live in the environment she had chosen. The problem was how to even start. I googled hoarding cleanup and found Freedom Maids. Maury came out to meet with me and while surveying the property educated me on the process. He was so very personal and sympathetic to the challenges I was facing with and aging parent that was resistant and fighting me every step of the way. After speaking with Maury we had a plan the project would take 4-5 days to complete. Thanks to my amazing crew Marta, Luis and Adan and 14 days later, 2 larger dumpsters full of removed trash and so many trips to donation centers I lost count. The house was completely clean from ceilings to floors, repairs were made on Sheetrock, railing installed, clothing racks assembled and installed. The wonderful thing about Freedom Maids is the company does it all, and more. I am truly grateful to have found such wonderful people to work with. “In an effort to help a relative locate a cleaning service to clean another person’s home in Houston, I called three services, of which Freedom Maids was the last I called. Going in, we knew this type of service was going to be expensive, and Freedom Maids was in line with the pricing I received from the other companies. We had a very unique situation in that I live in one city, and my relative seeking help lives in a different city, and the person’s home that needed cleaning was in Houston! Additionally, Adult Protective Services in Houston on a Thursday afternoon would allow only one week to get the home in shape or the homeowner would be forced to move into a nursing facility for her safety. What we definitely needed was a service that could 1) commit to complete the service in the timeframe required by APS, even though we were heading into a weekend, 2) immediately schedule the work sight-unseen of the premises, 3) have personnel that could gently and carefully work solely with an elderly individual, and 4) work with absent family members living in a different city. Maury Hammond’s Freedom Maids was the best! In my initial conversation with him, and writing as fast as I could, I filled over a page with notes regarding how the service would work, what would happen when, what personnel would be used, when they would arrive, how they would approach the job, what would happen with any trash, personal items, and any donations to be made, and what a projected cost might be but also with the option to restrict the number of days his personnel would work so as to stay in a budget. Needless to say, the work went as planned and on schedule, and me and the relative I tried to help and the person that needed the help were more than pleased with Freedom Maids services.
