“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ UPDATED NEW REVIEW NEW SERVICE Service completed by David Lopez and Jose Delapaz with Shock Doc. Both technicians were extremely polite, professional, and thorough. From the start, I got the clear impression that they were not going to leave until they truly figured out what was going on—especially with the fire hazard alerts from my Ting monitor. Instead of jumping to conclusions, they took the time to investigate properly. They noticed that when the Ting monitor was plugged into a different outlet, the voltage readings changed. This level of attention to detail made all the difference. Their conclusion and repair: They identified a loose neutral wire in an electrical box, which was causing a floating neutral and dangerous voltage fluctuations. Once repaired, the issue was resolved correctly and safely. It was refreshing to work with electricians who genuinely troubleshoot, explain what they find in a way that makes sense, and focus on safety rather than selling unnecessary work. Jay was absolutely fantastic! He arrived on time, was super polite, and took the time to clearly explain everything he was going to do before starting. He disassembled the fluorescent light panel, bypassed the ballast, and carefully handled what seemed like a maze of wires. Jay checked every connection for voltage and expertly rewired the fixture to convert my fluorescent lights into bright, efficient LED lights — flawlessly! What really impressed me was his attention to detail and cleanliness. He didn’t make a mess, but still swept the area with a broom and dustpan and even used a handheld vacuum to leave everything spotless. It’s rare to see that kind of pride in workmanship these days. “When I first saw how high these folks' average score was I was skeptical anyone could achieve it legitimately. But they are the real deal. Consummate professionalism at a fair price. Installed a whole-house generator for me. Everyone was super professional, highly knowledgeable, prompt, and courteous. They laid out a realistic schedule and delivered on it. The permitting process for my property presented challenges due to the city’s bureaucracy but Shock Doc attacked it with a speedy diplomacy that quickly and efficiently got the permit approved. Communications from office staff on how the process would go, all the steps involved, and steps I needed to personally execute with utility company were clearly laid out. They also kept me informed as the schedule progressed. Their on-staff electricians performed expertly. Subcontracted trades showed up on time, completed jobs well, and left the job site clean. A small hiccup with some wiring showed up a few months after job completion that Shock Doc was able to quickly diagnose and repair the same day I reported it. My impression of their routine checkup visit included in the contract was that they were very thorough with the checkup and didn’t try to half-ass anything.
