“DO NOT RECOMMEND – Unprofessional and Dishonest Experience I was referred to this contractor by a friend and initially had a good impression and I was excited about working with him - he was helpful. Unfortunately, things went downhill after we started the project. He kept asking me to purchase more materials, and despite paying 90% of the agreed cost up front, he did not complete the job. He also increased the pricing beyond what we had originally agreed on. When I reminded him of our initial agreement, he argued, so I had to document everything in writing and reminded him AGAIN and AGAIN what he had promised. He miscalculated how much wallpaper was needed—at first, he said two rolls would be enough, but it turned out we needed four. So, I had to get more materials. This wasn't cheap wallpaper either; it was from Anthropologie at $350 a roll. I trusted his judgment and paid for the extra materials. He completed part of the job and even installed a cross for me, which I appreciated. I gave him an additional $25 tip and even more later. I later paid him $500 for the rest of the work, which he promised to return and finish. It took a while for him to come back. He finally did, which again I was thankful. But when he came back, the wallpaper installation was sloppy and horrible, with gaps clearly visible. I wasn’t at home to address the issues. After I returned from a work trip and contacted him to address the issue, he ignored my messages completely even though he told my husband if we needed anything then tell him and he would fix his mistakes. He didn’t. Not a person of his words, dishonest. I’ve been kind, respectful, patient, and fair throughout this process, but he did not honor his word. His poor work ethic is extremely disappointing. He has an excuse for everything and doesn’t own up about his mistakes. This is a genuine warning to others so they don’t have to go through the same experience. I’ve also spoken to the friend who referred him, so they’re aware of what happened. And the people who have used his services are now warning me about him too. I was not surprised.”
