“Tom Dodson came out to do a foundation assessment for us in June '26. In a world of foundation companies with a (frequently deserved) reputation of unscrupulous behavior and recommending repairs that are not necessary, Tom is a breath of fresh air. He is candid, patient, explains home issues very well, and most importantly, will be honest in telling you when and where your home foundation does and does not need repair. As he took electronic elevation measurements through the house, he insisted that we walk the house with him real time to see the readings. He explained what numbers were within tolerance and what numbers were genuine causes for concern. We were very satisfied with his transparency and requested a formal proposal immediately. We ended up needing 14 piers placed around almost 50% of our home perimeter. We were equally satisfied with the price he quoted (well below what we thought the repair would cost us) and immediately committed to getting on his schedule. His team was able to begin the work the following week and completed it in 1 1/2 days. The crew was very professional, thorough, and kept the job site as clean and organized as one can be moving so much Texas clay around. Upon completion of installing the piers, they successfully repaired all of the cuts/damage that were made (out of necessity in completing the job) to the irrigation, landscape, and home lighting systems, providing time at the end of the job for us to test everything to make sure it was all in working order. Finally, their clean up was comprehensive, both in moving all of the shrubs and dirt back into the holes around the foundation as well as not leaving a trace of their presence (food/trash). We were very satisfied with Dodson's Foundation Repair in every facet of the job and would highly recommend this company for foundation work, whether as the primary provider of services or as a second opinion to a proposal in hand.
