“I chose Expert HVAC & Refrigeration because of their excellent reviews, and initially I was impressed. They were the only company willing to come out late on a Friday when my AC fan stopped working. The first technician quickly diagnosed a bad ECM motor, and the office kept me updated while waiting for the replacement part. Unfortunately, the installation experience was completely different. After the repair, my unit immediately began making loud noises. The technician returned but gave no explanation and simply left after giving a thumbs-up. By the next morning, my AC had stopped cooling again. I hired an independent HVAC technician for a second opinion. He found a blue shop rag left on the roof outside the unit, oil residue, loose screws and fittings, and determined the system had not been serviced properly. He corrected the refrigerant charge, thoroughly tested the system, and confirmed my unit did not need to be replaced, despite being told by Expert HVAC that I would probably need a new system. I spent additional money fixing problems that should never have happened. It's disappointing because my experience started so well. I expected the quality of workmanship to match the company's reputation, but unfortunately, it did not.”
