What Customers Say

I enrolled in Surgi's maintenance program ($179.40) after my home was running 6-8 degrees hotter than the thermostat setting. I went with them because they installed the unit initially and was told that it would assure me that I would not void my Trane warranty. The initial inspection was completed unusually quickly, and I'm not confident the full tune-up was performed. The tech, (really nice young man), told me the temperature disparity was being caused due to lack of insulation. He then proceeded to attempt and sell me additional services — insulation and a UV mold light. The home remained hot. Two days later the unit began short-cycling. A second visit resulted in a $497 condensate line flush, which stopped the short-cycling but did nothing for the temperature disparity. Dissatisfied, I went into the attic myself and found significant air leaks at the plenum — a cracked foam board panel and open seams where conditioned air was escaping directly into the attic. I sealed the gaps myself with foil tape. The temperature disparity immediately dropped from 6-8 degrees to 3-5 degrees. The remaining difference I believe is caused by insufficient insulation in the home (something I am currently contracting someone to fix). Two paid service visits, nearly $700 total, and Surgi's did nnot identify or mentioned obvious air leaks that were visibly bleeding conditioned air into the attic. A homeowner with no HVAC training found and partially fixed the problem in one attic visit. I would not recommend this company and am working to get my money back. UPDATE Management called and returned my $179.40. Thank you. They have been very professional.

Tommy (Trieu) from Surgi’s / Southern Air is the best. He explained everything to me in a clear and concise manner. He answered all my questions, is communicative, on time and friendly. He took the time to show me exactly what he was doing step by step. When he makes repairs or upgrades, not only do I notice the difference before and after, he shares with me photos and measurements of the before and after. That should be a standard expectation for all service providers but very few do that, so when it’s done, I’m grateful and appreciate it. I’ve had interactions with Southern on a few occasions and my experience has been good.

No one wants to deal with buying a new unit and the stress it can cause. Jonathan and Justin made replacing my heating & AC unit an easy process. They were very professional and mindful of my home. They worked fast but left no details behind. They were knowledgeable and answered all my questions. They cleaned up the workspace and made sure the unit was working as it should. It's not easy finding a company that not only do an excellent job but maintain a high working ethics. I also had some electrical issue that Eric was able find and received estimates to solve the problem. He was able to get my wall back online power wise so looking forward to fixing the other issues soon.

From estimate to installation, Eric was incredible. I had electric service installed in a new garden shed. On an incredibly hot day, he was under the house and wherever he needed to be to complete the job (in one day!). His installation was neat and he cleaned up afterwards. Very personable and very efficient! Very happy with the job!

I am highly satisfied with the service provided by my technician. He demonstrated exceptional knowledge and transparency regarding the necessary maintenance for my unit. Moving forward, I will exclusively request his expertise for all future service appointments under my monthly maintenance agreement.
