“We had an outstanding experience with Chanc and his team this past fall. I honestly regret not writing this review sooner, but after this project, we rolled directly into additional home renovations thanks to one of Chanc’s referrals...and life got busy in the best way. Our front yard had become both an eyesore and a safety concern over the years. The grass was patchy to begin with, but diseased areas continued spreading, and the beloved tree swing our kids used daily had completely destroyed the lawn beneath it. Our front walkway had also become increasingly uneven over time and was starting to feel hazardous for family members visiting our home, especially my in-laws. In just 3–4 days, Chanc and his team completely transformed the space. They demolished and repoured our walkway, stripped and regraded the yard, designed and installed irrigation around the house and garden beds, and laid beautiful new sod in the front yard. The difference in both appearance and functionality was incredible. What truly set this experience apart was the professionalism, communication, and coordination from start to finish. Chanc took the time to listen to our needs and budget, while also educating us on the best sod options for our yard and thoughtfully walking us through decisions along the way without ever making us feel pressured. “Before choosing a landscape company, make sure they use a CAD program and that the designer actually listens to what you want—not what they want to do. Before Plano Landscape, we spent over $2,000 with two well-known DFW landscape/nursery companies. One used CAD, the other pencil drawings. Both designs were poorly conceived, didn’t reflect our ideas, and the “design” label was generous at best. In both cases, you paid hefty fees up front—like it or not. Working with Chanc at Plano Landscape was completely different. We spent several sessions working through ideas, going back and forth, and refining CAD images until we could clearly see—and agree on—what the final product would look like. No guessing. No interpreting vague sketches. That’s the real value here. In the past, homeowners had to trust words and drawings to imagine a finished yard, and whether that vision matched reality was often a crapshoot. With CAD, you know exactly what you’re getting before anything is dug up. Once the plan was finalized, execution was straightforward. The crew followed the plan, we made a couple of minor plant tweaks, had one return visit to move a boulder, and the job was completed in three days.
