“Working with Compass landscaping has been a pleasant easy process. They did our walkways. Gabriel (the owner) is great to work with and his crew were professional and attentive to our needs. Great 👍🏼 job ! 😃”

“We hired Compass Landscaping to help give our SATX property curb appeal and get ready to list for rent. The prior landscape had not been tended to in 30 years and it was in much need of this enhancement. We were contacted by Gabe who was very responsive, knowledgeable, and accommodating to us as we had some challenges managing this project while living out of state. Overall we were impressed with the entire process, timeliness and project results until it came down to our project close out. Toward the end of the project we requested a few solar lights to be added to the finishing landscape which Gabe said he could easily do, so $97.50 for 6 lights was added to our final invoice and paid on August 10th. Last we heard Gabe had a personal issue and couldn't drop off/install the lights as quickly as he intended. On August 30th Gabe asked if he could install the lights the "following week" and pick up his extension cord left on the property. We were okay with this as we weren't quite ready to list the property as the house was still was not finished with inside remodel. A few weeks went by and my husband called and texted for an update, no response which is very unlike our initial experience. As far as we know the extension cord was picked up but the solar lights were not delivered/installed. Now it's mid October and we still have not heard back., This week my husband left another voicemail with Gabe and I've emailed Gabe with no response. At this point we have tenants moving in and it sort of feels like the initial experience we had with Compass Landscaping (Gabe) was just a hustle to get our business and 38K we paid in total. Sure, $97.50 isn't much in the large project but we paid for something that was never received. We now have tenants in place and would still appreciate the solar lights to be added, or a refund for the lights, but at very least a courtesy of a response. I'd like to give 5 stars, but for now I am putting this at 3. I was beginning to get concerned and wondered if something happened to Gabe- but I see on Yelp Gabe responded just days ago to the recent ridiculous complaint. Seeing this activity makes me question - Gabe, what happened? And where is our response? I plan to update add/remove stars on this review depending on if we receive a response and resolution. Update: Apologies for delayed update, but as promised updating my review as Gabe responded and completed the solar lights on 10/24. While on the property the tenants informed Gabe of the sprinkler system Compass installed not working in backyard. While there, Gabe walked with tenant and verified the sprinkler system was working properly and the issue was tall grass in the area of question. Gabe followed up and let us know the sprinkler situation/resolution. We appreciate the communication and recommend Compass Landscaping service.”

“Gabe and his crews are so personal and professional. We have used Compass for 2 major projects and will use them for anything we do in the future. They completely redid our front landscaping, built retaining walls, planters, laid turf and manicured flower beds in the back. They also put in irrigation. The main reason for the 5 star rating is the communication and vision. Gabe has amazing eye for design and offers recommendations that will make your landscaping dreams come true. A++++”
